Ben Bernanke nabbed by identity theft
Sunday, September 27th, 2009
To the Bernanke’s I say, Congratulations!
If the Chairman of the nations central banking system gets nabbed by identity theft, is anyone safe?
Ben, I hope you and your wife enjoy hours of phone calls, letters and notarized affidavits to clean up your credit scores and undo the damage the identity theft ring did to your financial lives.
I would like to praise William J. Aiello, a federal postal inspector assigned to the External Crimes Unit at the Richmond Field Office in Richmond, Virginia, who also serves on the Metro-Richmond Identity Theft Task Force. According to this affidavit, Mr. Aiello led the investigation that charged Leonardo Darnell Zanders, Clyde Austin Gray Jr., Lennier McLeod, Wenona Latrice White, Sydney Anthony Charles, Shonya Michelle Young, Darryl Earl Price, Sylvester Vaughn, George Lee Reid, and Claire Barker with knowingly, willfully, and unlawfully executing a scheme and artifice to obtain moneys, funds, and credits under the custody or control of a financial institution by means of false and fraudulent pretenses, representations, and promises in violation of Title 18, United States Code, Sections 1344 and 1349 (Conspiracy to Commit Bank Fraud).
